Sewing Kits 4 Kids
enable children to learn simple hand sewing skills while discovering the
enjoyment of creating items by hand.
Each kit contains the pre-cut materials and step-by-step
instructions that are needed to construct a uniquely crafted item.
(The user supplies a few items that are readily available at home
– such as needle, thread, scissors and glue.
All of the sewing is done by hand.
No sewing machine is required.)
We have noticed that
fewer children are sewing these days as compared to past generations.
By providing these easy-to-use kits we hope to revive an interest
in sewing. Our products have
received a very positive response from those who share a desire to help
children learn more about sewing.
Through our website we have shipped sewing kits to over 20
different states and overseas.
These sewing kits
are ideal for individuals and groups.
They are great activities for youth groups, scout troops, 4-H
clubs, camps and parties. We
have a variety of projects designed to appeal to both girls and boys
ranging in ages from around 4 – 14 years old.
Our First Steps Kits, created for younger learners, are lacing
activities that don’t use a sharp needle.
Each project yields a uniquely handcrafted item that may be used
by the child or given as a gift.
We have found that our sewing kits can also be used as great
hands-on outreach tools for working with VBS, missions and the elderly.

while acquiring useful sewing skills.
About Us
We are two sisters
who are enjoying growing up in the country and learning practical life
skills like sewing, gardening, cooking and caring for animals.
We value our Christian family and desire to use what we have to
glorify God and to bless others.
We are homeschooled, which means that learning doesn’t end with
the bookwork. Each chore,
activity or project is preparing and training us for the life God has
for us – both right now and in the future.
(Our mom says the biggest lesson we are learning through our
business is cooperation.)
Since our business
began in 2008 we have grown both personally and professionally.
As young entrepreneurs we have been featured in newspapers and
magazines, as well as on radio, television and the Internet.
Our original
business purpose was to engage children in learning basic hand sewing
skills through our fun and simple activity kits.
The vision for the business continues to grow as we see
opportunities to utilize these sewing kits as outreach tools.
They have been used in camps, assisted living centers, foreign
orphanages and sewing classes led by missionaries.
We would love to
have the opportunity to partner with missionaries who are teaching
sewing classes. In some of
these places sewing is being taught as an employable life skill.
We have recently established contact with missionaries in
Honduras who lead sewing classes for women in the local villages.
We are setting aside a portion of the proceeds from our business
for travel and supplies to participate in this effort.
The lessons we are
learning through this real-life business experience are something that
cannot be duplicated in a textbook.
We are developing skills in business, marketing, stewardship and
public speaking. Most of all
we are gaining a deeper understanding of the value of relationships
through working closely as a family, through receiving advice from other
entrepreneurs, and through being mentored by caring individuals who are
investing in our lives.
